Euro Displays Sustainable Procurement Policy
Purpose
At Euro Displays, sustainability is central to our procurement strategy. We aim to source materials and services that are environmentally responsible, ethically sourced, and aligned with circular economy principles, without imposing unnecessary costs or compromising quality.
Our procurement decisions are guided by the following principles:
Environmental Impact & Material Selection
We prioritise reusable, recyclable, and low-impact materials, such as aluminium frameworks, Ontera carpet tiles, and recycled plywood. Single-use plastics and unnecessary packaging are avoided. Where feasible, we opt for suppliers offering returnable or repurposed packaging (e.g., recycled cardboard), and favour products with verifiable sustainability credentials.
Ethical & Local Sourcing
Preference is given to Australian-based suppliers and IFES affiliates to minimise freight emissions and support local economies. Suppliers must demonstrate responsible sourcing, ethical labour practices, and transparent environmental performance. Those with unclear sustainability practices may be excluded.
Circular Economy & Lifecycle Thinking
We choose components that are modular, durable, and suitable for reuse across multiple projects. Fabric waste is recycled through BlockTexx into CellTexx® and PolyTexx®, and all viable end-of-life materials are either repurposed internally or returned to certified recycling partners.
Supplier Engagement & Evaluation
Sustainability is a key criterion in supplier selection, alongside cost, quality, and delivery reliability. For all products designed into our production, we request Material Data Sheets and Sustainability documentation from suppliers. These inputs are used to evaluate and select the most sustainable options from our supplier database. This approach ensures that we complete projects in the most environmentally responsible way possible. We communicate to clients that we partner with suppliers who demonstrate leading sustainable practices aligned with project goals.
Annual Review and Continuous Improvement
This procurement policy is reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant, effective, and aligned with Euro Displays sustainability goals.
The responsibility for the review lies with the Sustainability Officer (or designated team member), who will consult with the leadership team.
Any updates to the policy will be documented, approved by leadership, and communicated promptly to all stakeholders.
Communication and Sharing
This policy will be shared and made available to clients, suppliers, and staff to promote transparency and encourage collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
Staff involved in procurement will receive training to understand and apply the principles within this policy.
Clients will be informed about our sustainable procurement approach during project planning to align expectations and encourage sustainable choices.
